What can be done with BalancerV2 pools

A DeFi primitive

Balancer Pools have served a number of DeFi protocols such as ocean protocol in the past. Balancer opens the door for DeFi and AMM's. It has been used for PowerIndex, PieDAO, and indexed.finance.

Initial DEX offerings and liquidity bootstrapping events

Liquidity Bootstrapping with Balancer is a common practice for token engineers, it provides trust less liquidity provision. An increasing number of protocols are using balancer pools to raise their bootstrapping liquidity.

Distribution Events

Previously rewards have been offered to participants of the YFI yield farming program, for staking stable coins in Balancer Pools as a way of distributing the YFI token.

AMM Implementations

A good example of using the Balancer smart pools is the Ampleforth rebase cryptocurrency. The AMPL protocol is able to provide elastic supply through adapting pool weights to AMPL rebases, thus removing price volatility and the possibility of value being drained by arbitrageurs.

As a plethora of uses is available, it requires the need of Token Engineers constantly updating and optimizing the ecosystem according to it's objectives. In order to stress test contexts and frameworks, simulations have proved themselves the key to detecting possible future errors and inconveniences. We present the Balancer V2 model, an open-source cadCAD model and it's documentation to support the future innovation and design for the entirety of Balancer Pools.
